‘On the bones of Rotterdam’ for Art Rocks!

Hi everyone!

I submitted a song for Art Rocks, a great songwriting competition organised by the Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam (see here). To join the competition, you select a work from the museum that inspires you, and of course write a song about it, or around it, or whatever.

I chose the painting ‘Le port de Rotterdam’ (‘De haven van Rotterdam’ in Dutch) that Paul Signac painted in 1907. This is the result, a song called ‘Op de botten van Rotterdam’ (which translates as ‘On the bones of Rotterdam’):
